The inspiration for my zoo animal nursery came from the Lambs and Ivy Zoofari bedding set I purchased. I fell in love with the animals and I wanted to bring them to life by adding the mural that would give the room personality.

I painted with Behr paint, Golden Yellow. My friend, Antar, is an artist and volunteered to give the special touch of the mural. He hand sketched and painted the animals from the bedding set. My husband, Kevin put together the crib, glider, and he helped paint the room.

I purchased a Young America Convertible Crib and furniture. The bookends are antique wood trimmers from the 1800s. The recessed and ceiling fan lights add to the ambiance of the room.

It took 2 weeks to get everything set up, painted, and decorated. It was a very fun project. Watching the mural come to life was the best part!

I love the details of the mural, the warmth of the room, and the colors.
