Zanzibar Nursery for Austin and Albert

The Zanzibar Nursery Cot Sets inspired my nursery idea. The Zanzibar bedding range has heaps of accessories... rugs, lamps, mobiles, throw cushions, nappy stackers, laundry hampers, photo frames, curtains and valances, wall hangings, wall paper borders... EVERYTHING!

We painted with Dulux Cuddlepie and Scallywag.

The cots are by Babysafe and apparently they don't make them anymore. I got my daughter's cot from Babyzone and still had it when we found out we were having twins. Then I was lucky to get another cot exactly the same 2nd hand (my sister in-law spotted a FOR SALE sign at the local shops).

The dresser and bedside were from 1/2 Price Pine and used to be our bedroom furniture. I just gave them a really good polish and replaced the handles.

I store most of the boys stuff in the dresser... but I also have wire basket drawers in the closet... there is double of everything with twins!

It only took a couple of days to complete the nursery and if I hadn't left it to the last minute (35 weeks) it would have been more fun. My darling husband helped heaps as I was way too fat to go climbing up on ladders to paint. He did all the high stuff and I did the low stuff... oh and he helped put the cots together.

We had to repaint two rooms as this was my daughter's room and she had to move in with her sister...

so we had to paint their new room as well to "sweeten the deal"!

I really love how it turned out. Especially the warm, cosy colours and the paint names... cuddlepie and scallywag... because I reckon these two little darlings are going to be just that!

Oooh - I love those paint color names too - what perfect pet names for two little boys. All the best with keeping up with them! I'm sure they'll love their new room!
