Woodland Nursery

My woodland nursery was inspired by a discontinued Olli and lime crib bedding set that I purchased for a bargain! The colours reminded me of the woods so I went with it thinking that this theme would be good for a boy or a girl.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Benjamin Moore

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I purchased wall decals in white, then painted them with paint to match the colours of the room. I also made some if my own mushroom decals with remaining scraps.

What brand of crib and nursery furniture did you buy? Where from?

Babyletto hudson crib and dresser / change table purchased from lusso baby

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

I had purchased discontinued Olli and Lime crib set through a company online called Babybot. I thought it looked good for either boy or girl plus I liked that it was a pattern and not an actual theme because I wanted the theme to be in the nursery not also on the crib bedding.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

Nursery lighting gnome from urban barn.

Tall floor lamp stolen from my teenage daughter's room - I think I originally

bought at walmart.

Wall decor purchased through etsy.

Prints on window bought through etsy.

Pillows of animals bought through areaware.

Rugs purchased at ikea

Tree bookshelf babyletto purchased through Lusso Baby.

Matching print to olli and lime bedding (above change table) purchased through olli and lime web site.

Owl toybox beside crib ModMom design purchased through Jack and Lolas store.

Owl ceramic bench purchased at urban barn.

Wood tree side table(beside rocking chair)I made!!!

Monte rocking chair and ottoman purchased from Monte.

Bloom wood baby rocker purchased from Craigslist (had with my other daughter).

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

All my baby's items are in baskets inside the closet and change table.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It took about 3 months to pull the room off. I was looking and purchasing odd things throughout my pregnancy but once I painted the room and my husband assembled the furniture it was just a matter of pulling it all together.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

Did it all on my own, even the painting of the room when I was 5 months pregnant.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

The colour choice of the nursery and bedding.

I found this nursery to be very restful and whimsical without being too babyish and trendy. I wish that I had had the creativity to come up with something as nice as this nursery. She should do this for a living. I am sure some new mothers would appreciate it.

I think that is one of the nicest baby rooms I have seen. I especially liked the fact that is was not cutesy and frilly . Any baby would like the soothing colours and the varied interesting things to look at. Good job and hope the creator of this room gets recognition for a job well done.
