Whimsical and Elegant Dreamland Nursery

My inspiration for Ainsley's Whimsical and Elegant Dreamland Nursery came from a bedding set I found, and absolutely fell in love with. The bedding was not "themed" in the traditional sense of the word, but the bedding inspired me to draw out other ideas throughout the room to create the elegance I had always envisioned.

The bedding is called Tutti Frutti Crib bedding by New Arrivals.

After having the bedding component, I continued the striped, polka dot, and paisley patterns throughout the room, while incorporating jewels and crystals for a dramatic effect.

I painted with Valspar Blush Baby. Specific paint accents we did came from a stencil I ordered using slightly darker paint for a damask look.

The crib and furniture is the Legacy Classics Enchantment Convertible Crib Set from Hayneedle.com

My window treatments came from Toysrus.com, the lighting from Home Goods, the rug from Target and the wall decals and stenciling from etsy.com.
The dollhouse bookshelf was handmade and painted by my husband and I.

Baby goods are stored in baskets and closet organizers and on shelving throughout the room including the dollhouse bookshelf.

I worked on the nursery, adding different pieces here and there throughout the entire pregnancy. I decorated my baby's nursery on my own because it is truly a passion of mine to decorate. To have someone to tribute this to who means the world to me, and did even before coming into this world, makes it that much more special.

I love our quiet little spot in the corner of the room. We can sit in the rocking chair with the perfect view of the entire room. Behind us, is the tree decal that is accented with jewels and my husband and my initials silhouetted by a heart with rhinestones. My baby can look up and see the beauty and magic of the room surrounding all sides of her.
