I just fell in love with the color combination of gray and pink and knew I wanted to fill my nursery space with those colors. Early into my pregnancy I found a pin on Pinterest that described how colors affect babies which helped my husband and I decided on our colors. We chose pink (love and feminine), gray (intuitive and emotional), white (pure, clean and innocent). I also fell in love with elephants which thanks to our family and friends there are accents of throughout the room. The true inspiration was just picking out precious things as I would shop with my baby girl and our color scheme in mind.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
Window treatments came from Target, shear white set to let some light in and a thicker pink set for the top to shut out light when desired; nursery white floor lamp with pink and white checkered lamp shade also came from Target (great deal and well made); wall decor came from several places- TJMAXX, Hobby Lobby, Target, Michaels and Ross. Our
baby's name sign above her crib was homemade by one of my sister's friends and our baby's heartbeat was made through a company on Etsy.
How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
Baskets, bins and adorable boxes.
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
My favorite part was shopping (of course). It took me about 5 months but I was brainstorming throughout my pregnancy. It was amazing to watch the room come to life with each purchase I made. I was never certain all the things would go together but somehow they did- fitting together like a perfect puzzle. The "M" wall is my favorite! It was so much fun searching place to place for different m's, I'd get so excited when I'd find the perfect one!
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
I did the room on my own with the help of my husband. I have to give huge kudos to my husband who would move the furniture around when I asked (even if I had him move it somewhere then move it back to where it was before)...he also hung and rehung items on the wall without complaint :) He painted the room for me and built the furniture. My husband also cut the pink knobs to fit the dresser.
What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?
The room is just perfect! I love the smell, the feel the colors bring out (total happiness), I love all the hand picked items from furniture, wall decor to the littlest of knick-knacks. The integration of cutesy, classy, chic and antique makes for the perfect nursery!
