The Beatles Yellow Submarine Nursery

We are huge fans of The Beatles and Yellow Submarine seemed like the most appropriate Beatle theme for a nursery.

We painted the room with Meadow Green and a Powder Blue Behr paint from home Depot. We then used an overhead projector to trace the murals on the wall using images from the book. We hand painted the murals using craft store paint.

The crib and furniture is Jasmine Enterprises which was purchased at Babies R Us. We also refinished an old 1920s rocking chair.

The crib bedding is Wendy Bellissimo from Babies R Us. The window valance was hand sewn using chenille. The lighting is from 2 lava lamps and regular lamps from Babies R Us.

We stored books on the shelves and used baskets for toys, lotions etc.

My husband and I had a BLAST creating our Beatles Yellow Submarine Nursery! It took a long time with the detail of the murals but the end result made it worth it!

I love that the nursery is very colorful and fun and the baby loves the pictures. We have the book which is displayed and is browsed through regularly.
