I always liked black and white but wanted an accent color other than pink! I have seen green done with black and white so that is what I ended up choosing. I found my bedding first then went from there.
What brand and color of paint did you use? I used a Sherwin Williams color called High Strung…
it was matched at Home Depot using Behr paint.
If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it. Careful measuring and using a level to make my lines straight. It was black painted over a pre-painted white. I did not use tape after my lines were drawn, just freehand. The polka dot border was done by using a pencil to make my dots through a stencil, then hand painted.
What brand of crib did you buy? Where from? The crib was a Baby Mod Cadence in Ebony. It was from Wal-Mart online. Fantastic quality and great price.
What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it? The dresser was purchased from an unfinished furniture store and I finished it myself. I also hand painted all of the knobs. The bookcase is from Target online.
What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it? The crib bedding brand is Tadpoles Damask. It is a black and white damask, polka dot and stripe. It was purchased on Amazon.com.

The cornice board was made by my Dad. I covered it in batting and fabric using a staple gun.
The rug is from rugsusa.com.
The mirror is from CBK which I have wholesale access to through work.
The sconces are from Hobby Lobby.
The canvases I painted myself.
There are also damask wall decals purchased online.
How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves? Mostly in my dresser and closet. There are some baskets in the bookcase from Target and some boxes from Tuesday Morning.
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part? It took me several months to pull everything together. I am still waiting on a chair to get reupholstered. It is a black and white damask that will go under the sconces. I also still need to get a fun floor lamp. It was not really difficult, but time consuming. My favorite part is the colors.
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do? The window treatments I had some help with as described above. Everything else was me. I did have some help with putting the crib together by my husband.
What do you love most about your little one's finished room? The overall style. I didn’t want something pink and frilly even though we are having a girl. It will be something she will grow into.
