Shabby Chic Pink Ballet Nursery

Shabby Chic Pink Ballet Nursery

My Shabby Chic Pink Ballet Nursery was inspired by a crib bedding set I bought online from Overstock.com. It was a clean shabby chic style, so I just added on to it.

I knew I wanted a pink and green nursery and I love ballet, so I got multiple ballet prints From Edgar Degas. I bought a stencil from Hobby Lobby and added it around the room to add more elegance to the walls.

The crib is a sleigh oak bed purchased used online. The dresser was also bought used from a model home, which is more than likely hand made.

I made the Roman Shade from a pattern I bought at Joann's. The Rug was a bathroom rug from Target that I sewed a green border to.

I made the wall sconces from a wood plate I purchased at Hobby Lobby and pvc pipe that I just stuck a light bulb into. The chandelier was on clearance at Lowe's and I added dried roses to the lamp shades to make it look more authentic.

I bought three decorative boxes at Hobby Lobby for storage and added ribbon.

It took about two months to complete the pink ballet nursery working on it a couple hours here and there. The Roman Shade took the longest and the stencil was a bit complicated. My husband got a lot better by the end of the room.

My husband did all the painting and hanging of the Shade and window box. My mom also helped by finding the material I used to create the rounded window box.

I love the shade and the beads and crystals hanging from them. I also love the jewel knobs I replaced on the dresser from Hobby Lobby.

I have a question
by: Anonymous

I love, love, love this nursery. I am using your idea and trying to create a similar nursery. My question is, how far apart are the vertical molding pieces. Also, is there a piece of molding along the bottom? My dad and I are trying to recreate the look and he is having a little trouble visualizing it. Thanks!

Love this one too

So many great ideas to do a nursery - love the pink and green and how high up it goes on the walls.
