Although I've never been to Paris, I knew I wanted to create a dreamy vision of it through photographs, vintage furniture and decor to make it feel like I was being whisked away there.
What brand and color of paint did you use?
Sherwin Williams - Odessa Pink.
If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
I added an accent wall with polka dot wall decals from urban walls. The vinyl stickers are easy to apply. It takes a lot of work however to calculate how many you need to fill the space and how far apart they need to be.
What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
Bonavita - Hudson Collection from Bambi Baby.
What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
I bought the other furniture pieces off of Craigslist. They are vintage pieces - french provincial style. However, the rocking chair was bought by the original owner from BabiesRUs.
What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
Caden Lane bedding - gold dot and mint bedding.
Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
Window treatments are bamboo shades and sheer curtains (Home Depot and Kohls).
The Lighting - chandelier is from Ikea.
The photos were pinned from all different sites after months of searching.
I bought the garland from Etsy and the quilt that is draped over the crib.
Paris map is from amazon and other wall decor such as shutters and signs were purchased from local antique shops.
How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
Storage canvas baskets from Target in the closet and a bookshelf bought from an antique shop.
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
It was a lot of fun, but very time consuming and expensive. I absolutely love how it turned out, so it was all worth it.
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
I had help from my husband putting up the dots and many family members helped purchase decor from antique shops. My uncle painted the room, helped hang up the shutters and install the chandelier.
What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?
This is a difficult question - probably the crib and shutter display.
