What inspired me for this room was simply a childhood dream of my own.


What brand and color of paint did you use?

We chose pink and white walls so the pink would not overpower the room.


What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

The crib came from Ikea and only cost us 50 bucks which for us was great because we wanted to spend the main expense on the bedding and decor!


What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The furniture also came from IKEA for a great cheap price of about $175.


What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

We used a black,white and pink zebra nursery bedding set from carousel designs !


Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

We wanted to add a splash of french feel to her room so we did black and pink window treatments and a great big chandelier light, both of which we bought from amazon.com for a great discounted price!

The rug and Name blocks were all custom hand made online from etsy.com, A great place to shop when you have a tight budget.


How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It took us around 3 months to finish her room because we saved the money a little bit at a time then bought something for her room every month.

It was so fun to watch what I imagined for my little girl's room come to life . My favorite part of her room would have to be the great big chandelier in the middle of her room. It truly brings the room all together!


Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

My husband and I did her room on our own. It was a great experience we both had together!


What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

I love how she will grow up with such a pretty room to enjoy being a girl and playing dress up in! It was such a blessing for us to give her this room!
