Pretty in Pink Nursery
I wanted our nursery to be sweet with soft colors and have a classy feel to it. I started with the bedding first and went from there!
What brand and color of paint did you use?
We used Antique White and Silver Cloud by Glidden Paint at Home Depot.
If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
My husband added stripes on the wall where the crib was going! He painted the room grey and then went back and taped off the stripes. Then painted the stripe with a gloss paint to give it a 3d look. The grey was a matte finish.
What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
We bought a Bratt Decor crib from Jack and Jill Boutique.
What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
We ended up finding old pieces of furniture and had someone refinish and distress them to give them a new personality!
What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
We got a bedding set from Restoration Hardware. The set was called Washed Velvet Bedding Collection. The color was Petal.
Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
My window treatments were bought at Restoration Hardware , along with the chandelier and our sheep skin rug. We also have the sweetest plush lamb chair that also came from RH.
How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
I used baskets and shelves for storing all of our things. Our big cabinet also was great for storage!
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
We took our time while putting the nursery together. It took us about 4 or 5 months to complete it. We painted and put down new floors. That was the most time consuming part. It was fun for both my husband and I. I did all of the decorating and he did all the hard labor :)
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
I did the nursery on my own for the most part. I did have a friend who offered suggestions on colors and suggested the stripes on the wall!
What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?
I love everything about it! It turned out exactly how I wanted it!
