Polka Dots, Stripes and Checks Nursery

We picked a pink and green color scheme for our little girls Polka Dots, Stripes and Checks Nursery. My husband came up with the idea of alternating pink and green squares on the wall that the crib goes against to match the squares on the quilt. It took him about 12 hours to finish the painting.

He started by measuring out the squares to 16in x16in. He followed by using a level to draw the lines. He then used painters tape and started with pink. Once he was finished with the pink he retaped and painted the green. Quite time consuming but well worth it!

We decided to go for a shabby chic look with our furniture. We were able to match my childhood furniture with a crib from JC Penny. We could not have picked a better match.

We are really excited with the results!
