Pink and White Nursery

I decorated this pink and white nursery for my third baby (and second daughter) using all hand-me-down furniture from her siblings' previous nurseries. I wanted it to be girly, but not over the top. I decided to keep the walls white and use lots of pink accessories and linens to get that look.

I like things to stay organized, so there is a ton of storage in this room. Lots of boxes, shelves, and baskets help keep everything looking clean.

Most of the accessories are from Pottery Barn Kids, but you can find great things at Marshall's, Home Goods, or Target that are very similar. The bedding is from Dwell and was bought on sale. Target now carries a line of their baby linens at a great saving.

I think the key to a beautiful room is to pick 2-3 colors for your palette and then to buy things from lots of different places. You don't want a room to feel really matchy, like it all came out of the same box. Display things that are special to you and your baby. I have a beautiful hand embroidered pink dress that my daughter has outgrown hanging up on a hook, little shoes scattered about, as well as lots of pictures of her as she has grown.

Now that she's 18 months old, her favorite place in the room is sitting on the little pink chair looking at books from the bin beside it.
