Pink and White Diamonds Baby Nursery

The idea for our nursery came from an RC Willey Showroom in Las Vegas. We loved the bright colors and the striking concept.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

We fell in love with Tink Pink from the Disney Collection, which we purchased from Home Depot. The other paint is simply white and a matte black.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

We started off with templates of the squares and diamonds. The plaid wall of diamonds were measured in 11 inch squares and then we connected each angle with a ruler to make 6, 22 inch diamonds across the wall. The painters then masked off everything to paint.

After the wall had dried they used another template to complete the small black diamonds which overlap the pink ones. The other walls were measured, marked and then painted.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Our crib is from Babies R Us. Its a sleigh style, which can be converted into a toddler bed.

What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The dresser is a piece from RC Willey. The changing table is a sleigh style from Babies R Us. Our fabulous glider is from Walmart.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

Bedding is from JCpenny's, made by Lambs and Ivy,

in a black and white.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

My curtains were made by my mother. They are simple cafe curtains with matte black material. I made the lampshades hung over the glider by buying plain shades and decorating them with ribbons, tule, mirrors, some beading and a boa.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

I have put all my baby changing necessities in baskets under the changing table. My dresser has 2 cabinets on each side for little extras such as toys, blankets and books.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

The nursery in all took 2 months to finish and we enjoyed every second of it. Although it was difficult and was a lot of work, the outcome is amazing!

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

We had a great painter to assist with the wall artwork. My husband and I picked out all the furniture which compliments the room nicely.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

I love my nursery because it is so different, vibrant and bold! I know my little Alissa will just love it for years to come!
