Pink and Grey Palace Nursery

My Pink and Grey Palace Nursery was inspired by several pieces of tufted furniture located throughout my home.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Restoration Hardware Baby & Child- oatmeal, petal pink, and dove.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I hand-stenciled a Psalm of David above a wooden-letter wall placard using petal pink paint (RH Baby & Child). The stencil was purchased from
walltowallstencils.com.

I also upholstered the entire back wall in grey linen.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

I purchased the Colette crib from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

All of my nursery furnishings were selected from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child and were purchased from their website.

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

I selected the frayed linen collection of bedding from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

My window treatments were handmade from white, silk dupioni, trimmed with a soft "pink puff" trim.

The nursery lighting features a crystal chandelier and two matching crystal wall sconces (gallery74.com).

The delicate pink petal rug was purchased at Pottery Barn Kids.

I designed the wall accents from old picture frames that I spray-painted white and added a hook to, to display two delicate newborn gowns.

I had a 4-foot letter "K" cut out of MDF board and covered it with raw cotton bolls, then hung it from the ceiling of the nursery as a focal piece.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

My baby supplies are stored in cute wicker baskets that are lined with pink polka-dotted cloth and are neatly placed on shelves in the closet.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

The entire nursery design project took me 4 months to complete. Because I love interior design, this project was SUPER fun and exciting to watch as the pieces came together!!!!!!!!!

My favorite part was upholstering the entire back wall with grey linen. The wall is so multi-faceted, and can be used as a HUGE headboard in years to come!

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

I derived the entire idea for the nursery alone, but used the assistance of an upholsterer for the large project (the tufted wall). All of the painting and accenting were done by me solely.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

I love that my nursery turned out exactly as I had envisioned it in my head! The details throughout the room embody my sentiments of my little girl- picture perfect!!!!
