Peter Pan Neverland Nursery

I loved the idea of Neverland and never grow up for our little boy's nursery.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

We painted the back ground with Behr for the blue and then used acrylic paint, Liquitex, from Michaels.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I looked up images of characters from online, blew them up and taped them on the wall where I wanted. Then I drew them right next to each other. I painted them in and then free hand painted the back ground plants and clouds. I used sponges to do the night sky wall.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Graco from Khols.

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

Amazon.com

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

BabyDoll Bedding, Amazon.com

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

We found the pirate ship at a garage sale, the changing color LED lights from garden Ridge, and the book chest was made by a friend.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

We organized the closet and used bins.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

Took about 4 weekends. Loved doing it.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

Hubby put together the furniture. I did the painting.

We also had guests of the baby shower decorate stars to hang above the crib with words of love. Bought branches of fake leaves and pinned them on the wall and ceiling to make the tree.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

The reading tree with the changing lights. Hopefully it will be a place he loves to be.
