Persian Princess Nursery

Persian Princess Nursery
Our Persian Princess Nursery was inspired by two toy boxes from Ross. The boxes were modern chic with a combination of chocolate browns, creams and soft pinks.
We painted with Valspar paint from Lowe's. We used chocolate brown, soft pink and a rich cream throughout finished off with chair rail.
The stripes were put up with a measuring tape, laser level and frog tape to keep all lines straight and clean. The foam stamp was a design we liked from Michael's and cost a dollar. The dots were stamped with a round foam stamper. Finally, lots of patience and precision is what finished it off.
Both my wife and I are dark wood lovers. We decided to go with the Cherry Baby Cache nursery furniture set from Babies 'R' Us. The nursing chair was purchased from Walmart along with the dark brown slip cover.
We used Target's brown stripes and polka dots crib bedding set (currently on clearance).
The window treatments were purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond. All decor was hand crafted with ribbon and partnering accessories from Michael's, Ross and other budget friendly stores.
All goodies are stored in the dresser which doubles as a baby changing station. All toys are stored in the "Chocolate" boxes that drove our nursery design.
The nursery and took about 4 weeks to complete. The painting itself took 4 days. The job was stressful as things are never easy with a 5 month pregnant wife. We laughed, we cried and knew it was for our little angel. I would have to say our favorite part is watching people's jaws drop when they see the completed room.
The entire nursery was done by my wife and I. We are a budget conscious couple and my wife's decorating passion is what helped us through the entire process.
What we love most about the finished nursery is knowing that it was our blood, sweat and tears that went into this project and it's all for the one we will love the most.
