I was excited about having a girl and wanted to do a princess theme, but not a cheesy princess theme. We went elegant. My husband took the idea and ran with it.

What brand and color of paint did you use?
The paint was already the color, we didn't change it from when it was our study because we did not want too much pink. It's Lowe's, "Hotel St Francis".

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
A lady from our church, Orean Collier, did a "logo" that my husband designed above her crib. We also did a princess castle with her name above the door!

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
Bought at Children's Fair in Chattanooga, TN. It is the Savannah Crib by Munire.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
Custom made by a local friend, Toyetta Edwards. Fabric from JoAnn's.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
Lamps - Hobby Lobby.
Rug - PoshTots.
Chandelier - ABaby.com.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
In Baskets from Pottery Barn and Hobby Lobby.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
We started in October. The furniture was delivered Jan 8th. We started working on it what seemed like 24/7 from then until the night before she was born.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
My husband did the most. Toyetta Edwards did the bedding and Orean Collier did the murals.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?
The huge crown above her bed.
