Paris Nursery at Dusk

We love Paris! I wanted a vintage feel for the future in our household. I also didn't want poodles and rainbows everywhere.

What brand and color of paint did you use?
We used Sherwin Williams and a Brown hue

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
My father painted the Mural on the wall by hand in two days! I told him what I was thinking and he drew out a sketch and we went with it. We just finished renovating our house so we had a ton of paint color samples in our garage that he used for all the colors!

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
Baby Cache Royale form babies R us.

What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
Baby Cache dressers and tall boy.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
Madison baby by Glenna Jean.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
Glenna Jean window treatments, but we customized the buttons and tie backs to match the glider. The Chandelier was from Babies 1st Furniture in Houston as well as the chandelier shades.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
Shelves hold books on one of the walls as well as in the

closet. I have baskets for toys when she starts to crawl and another for blankets that I might need by her crib and glider for feeding.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
We have been slowly doing the whole room for about 2 months, but it was very easy and super fun to see it all come together!

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
We did the entire nursery ourselves! My dad did the mural and I had the vision of what I wanted the room to look like from the beginning.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?
The fact that it is so comfortable, girly, and that it is a baby's room and I won't have to start all over once she gets a little bigger. I also like that everything in the room came from a different source and it all looks like it was meant to go together.

If you're considering a parisian nursery theme for your little one, check out the great Paris Posh Theme Section I found at ababy.com - you get 10% discount if you buy any three or more items from the same theme and they have oodles of poodles!
