Nursery fit for a prince!

I have five boys and I am currently pregnant with boy #6. I always wanted to do a royal style nursery but it is incredibly hard to do that for a boy since most commercial baby stuff for boys is more cartoon character based.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

I used baby blue, royal blue and white Valspar paint.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I hand stenciled the damask wall using a stencil and white satin paint.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Crib is Delta and I bought it on Amazon.

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The furniture minus the crib is from the Salvation Army. The TV armoire was repurposed into a clothing armoire and the desk was repurposed into a changing table.

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

The bedding set was bought on Ebay. Brand is unknown.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

I made the window curtains myself. I hand sewn in the crystal beads.

The cornices on the windows were made by my husband using crown molding and L brackets.

The crystal chandelier is from Amazon. I added the royal blue crystal accents which I bought on EBAY.

The rug is from Amazon and the wall art I created on my printer. The frames are from IKEA. The ribbon on the monogram pictures is from Dollar Tree. They are hanging from crystal drawer knobs I bought on Ebay. The knobs are attached to decorative blocks I bought at Lowes which are hooked to the wall.

The Precious Moments figurines are all from Ebay.

All the crown molding around the walls is from Lowes.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

On both baskets and shelves.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It took about three months to put everything together since some items were being shipped from China. It was a lot of hard work but worth every moment.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

My husband and I were the only ones that worked on the nursery.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

It was done with so much love and it brought my hubby and I even closer together. :-)
