The prints on the wall inspired the whole room. I found them on Etsy and then my mother-in-law transferred them onto the baby quilt. I drew pictures of the exact way I wanted the room to look and so many people contributed to bringing my vision to life!

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Benjamin Moore I think whisper pink.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I bought vintage wallpaper from Etsy. My in-laws hung wallpaper professionally 40 years ago to put my father-in-law through dental school...their skills came in handy because they knew what to do with vintage paper!

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

hand-me-down from my sister

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The changing table is a vintage apothecary chest. The chair is from Kris's and kids in Wayne, PA. All other furniture is vintage/antiques.

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

Bedskirt and changing table pad from Land of Nod. Homemade quilt.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

Curtains also made by Nana at my request (my mom-in-law.) The yellow doll is named Lucette and was made by the incredibly creative 14 year old daughter of a friend. The dollhouse was a shower gift, made by a girlfriend. My husband made the shelves. Rug from Etsy.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

Storage on shelves, in closet and in baskets.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

This was a fun room because it was such a collaborative effort...we started it while I was 7 months pregnant so it took about 3 months. It is so nice to have help when you are super-pregnant!

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

As above, help from husband with carpentry skills, help from mom-in-law with sewing skills and beautiful gifts from friends. But the vision all came from me!

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

The wallpaper is my favorite part because it is beautiful and nearly one-of-a-kind. My new daughter stares at it and it seems to make her happy!
