I chose the color scheme for my nursery around a set of typewriter prints by vol. 25 (http://www.vol25.typepad.com/). I was also inspired by gender neutral nurseries on Pinterest, since I started designing the nursery before we knew if we were having a girl or boy.
What brand and color of paint did you use?
What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
SNIGLAR crib from Ikea
What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
I wanted the furniture to be very simple and modern. The changing table, rocking chair, and crib are all from Ikea. The twin bed was a hand me down.
What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
I chose a fitted crib sheet from Land of Nod (Yellow Stripe Not a Peep Crib Fitted Sheet).
The twin quilt is from Target's Room Essentials line.
Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
I made the window valances, designed to look like awnings. I created them using fabric, EKBY LERBERG shelf brackets from Ikea, wooden dowels, and velcro.
The pendant light and pink rug are both from Ikea.
The pink striped baskets are from Land of Nod.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
I used lots of striped fabric baskets (the pink ones are from Land of Nod). All of the baskets shown on the changing table came from the Dollar Spot section at Target. The aqua hanging basket was also from Target.
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
The majority of the nursery came together in a matter of weeks. Overall, I spent approximately 3 months working on it. I love combining colors and textures so overall, this was an easy project. The window valances were the most difficult/time consuming part of the nursery.
My favorite part of the nursery is just the overall feel and the combination of colors and patterns. I am also quite fond of the book wall.
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
I put together the entire nursery myself, with the help of my husband.
What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?
I love that the space turned out to be such a bright, fun and happy place for our little girl.
