One striped wall

Our nursery bedding set inspired me to go crazy, lol.

What brand and color of paint did you use?
We used the "Safe paint" called Harmony sha-green and Macadamia nut from Sherwin Willams.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.
We did do stripes on one wall. We used the blue tape from scotch guard to create the lines. My brother-in-law and husband did the measuring and tried their best to get the lines straight. In the end it came out great, they did a great job.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
We went with the Baby Cache Essential Curved Lifetime crib.

What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
The Baby Cache Essential room set from Babies "R" Us.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
Our crib bedding is the Carter's Green Elephant bedding set.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
The bedding set had a window treatment that matched so we went with that. I did make the letters that hang from the wall. I also made the pictures that are in the frames with scrapbook paper. Loved how it all came out.

The "J is

for Jacob" wall decal I ordered from Etsy.com. My friend made some blocks (was unable to upload) that also came out great. The lamp is an elephant which also was part of the Carter's set as well as the canvas painting hung above the letters I made.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
We are using the closet for storage as well as the extra drawer space that we currently have.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
It took several weekends for everything to come together. The painting (especially the stripes) was difficult but after that I had so much fun decorating and putting things together. Especially my crafty projects.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
My hubby, brother-in-law and sister helped paint the nursery. My sister helped add the ribbon to the letters I made so I could hang them. My husband put the crib together. My sis and brother-in-law helped put the wall decal up.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?
I love the simplicity, its not too overdone. I love to go and sit on the glider and imagine how it will be once Baby Jacob is here.
