Modern Baby Girl Nursery Room

My nursery was inspired by Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow fabric collection. I saw his line of fabrics and it all started coming together for me.


What brand and color of paint did you use?
We left the walls the color they were when we moved in, but they are a grey/taupe color.


What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?
We bought a Baby Mod Olivia 3 in 1 crib from Walmart.


What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?
We used Expedit shelves from IKEA, a chair we found on craigslist, the dresser my husband used when he was a baby, and the baby mod crib.


What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?
I made all of the bedding from Joel Dewberry's Modern Meadow collection.


Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?
I made the window treatments by re-covering old roman shades that were used on our back porch. I made all of the prints on picnik.com, used fabric from Joel Dewberry for the wall collage.

The lamp base is one I had already and the shade is from IKEA. The rug is from Target.

The containers above our changing table are from IKEA.


How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?
In the IKEA containers above the dresser. Also in the boxes on the expedit shelf and on shelves in the closet.


How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?
It took me a couple of months because I made so much of it, but I had so much fun!!


Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?
I did it on my own.


What do you love most about your little one's finished room?
Absolutely everything. The colors from the fabric is my favorite part.
