Lion King Baby Nursery

I have always loved Disney themed nurseries... We were unsure of the sex of the baby at first and decided Lion King would be a great neutral themed nursery.


What brand and color of paint did you use?

We are in the military so paint choice isn't really an option for us.


What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

We bought a Sorelle Princeton 4-in-1 crib and we purchased it from Babies R Us.


What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The furniture in our nursery was actually given to us by my mom and the rocking chair was the rocking chair from when I was a baby.


What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

We are using a Disney Lion King Bedding Set that was a gift from my mom.


Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

We bought a rug at hobby lobby with a variety of animal prints, the wall decor was actually handmade by my mom and my sister and I have made many of the hair bows and tutus being used as decorations. We also have some baskets in the room that were handmade by my mother and I.


How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

We are using mostly baskets for storage, but also have the dresser and drawers in the changing table for storage. As well as, a very well organized closet.


How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It has been a work in progress for about a month, but every bit of it has been fun. I really enjoyed washing up and putting away her clothes and organizing everything to make it easier once she gets here.


Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

My mom, husband, sister and myself worked on the nursery and we all took part in putting it together. Organizing it was mostly done by me so that I knew what was where.


What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

I just love the cozy feeling and how relaxing it is to be in there.
