Jewel Box Nursery

I fell in love with linen colors from Bella Notte and built around them. I didn't want a "theme" nursery but I love Alice in Wonderland so had to add that artwork.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Benjamin Moore Pale Iris and Gidden Ocean tide.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I did diamond print through out which I was a little nervous about. I also added Damask stencils sporadically for fun. It tied in with the damask crib pillow and sheer drapes.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Iron crib from Benicia Iron works. Chose slate due it being gender neutral if we have a boy in the future.

What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

The daybed was found on Hayneedle, I covered the roll pillows with a print fabric and had 6 pillows custom made to match. The glider is from Target.

What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

Its all Bella Notte from Misto lino in Danville, Ca. Colors are Silver mist, Graphite and Amethyst.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

Window treatments are panels from Cost plus that I added trim to. I got the flag idea from posh tots and had them custom made and monogrammed, the fabric matches daybed pillows. Chandelier is from Lamps plus. End table and blue ottoman from target, purple ottoman from amazon. Shag rug from Costco.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

Both

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

About 2 months, the bedding took the longest to arrive, 12 weeks. I loved every second of it and it was easy to put together. The Chandelier is my favorite item, she loves gazing at the crystals.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

A decorator helped with the paint color and my seamstress friend did the pillow covering and drapery work.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

Ella loves being in her nursery over every room in the house, its also my favorite room. I think it will grow with her over the years and its unique and special just like her!!

I love the colors and the fact that the baby's name "Ella" is incorporated into the theme. The wrought iron crib is amazing and the layout of it to the proximity of day bed is perfect. How can I learn more about these products, vendors, and contractors. I am beginning a nursery project.
