I'm having a little girl and my only rule going in was no pink so this happy vibrant baby nursery with touches of orange and green was what I cam up with!
What brand and color of paint did you use? It's Sherwin Williams and it's a custom color that the previous owners used. It's so soft and soothing I decided to keep the color.
If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it. No paint effects - I let the walls take a backseat to everything else in the room.
What brand of crib did you buy? Where from? Baby Mod 2 in 1 from Wal-Mart
What brand of furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it? We had the bed and the two chairs came from World Market.
What bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it? The bedding on the big bed came from CB2 and West Elm. The crib sheets came from Serena and Lily.
Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade? Curtains from IKEA, wall shelves from West Elm, canvases from Avalisa. The frame collage came from Bed Bath and Beyond and the striped fabric came from Hawthorne Threads. I made the pillow, crib skirt and hamper liner.
How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves? The crib has a drawer and I made the most of the closet and the six-drawer dresser. I still have to find a spot for the toys!
How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part? It took three months and it came together slowly because I wanted to find just the right pieces. There was some trial and error involved but I love how it turned out!
Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do? My husband hung the curtains, frame collage and shelves. I did everything else.
What do you love most about your little one's finished room? I love how cheerful and happy it is! I smile every time I walk in there!
