Green and Brown Elephant Baby Nursery

Tell us what inspired your nursery idea - was it a book, a picture, a bedding set? Was it your idea?

My husband got me a blanket that was green and brown with an elephant for our baby when I was 4 months pregnant at Christmas. It inspired our theme.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Chocolate Brown and Mint Green from Lowes

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

We hand painted the circles using a giant protractor.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

We bought the Baby Cache Life Time Crib in Cherry wood from Babies R Us.

What bedding set did you use?

We used the Carter's Elephant Nursery Bedding.

Tell us about your window treatments, lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

The nursery decor is all from Baby's R us but my husband hand painted all the circles.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

Both shelves and baskets

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

It took over 40 hours, it is one of my husband's most wonderfully done projects. He is very proud and I am so proud of the room he designed for our first baby.

What do you love most about your little one's finished room?

The bright colors and fun circles.
