French Poodle Nursery Idea
I couldn't find many accessories in the pink and black theme for my french poodle nursery idea so I resorted to creating some hand-made items for Chloe. I bought a waste basket with a completely different theme. I just painted it in her colors and added a monogram and the ball feet.     I covered the letters myself too. This beautifully simple French Poodle nursery design just oozes with baby girliness. I know many are making the move away from the traditional pinks and blues of baby rooms, but I have to say I'm not one of them. I have three little girls and it doesn't matter which way you slice it, girls look pretty in pink. You can almost smell those baby smells just by looking at them! Having said that, I love this particular nursery because the dark furniture and black accents add a touch of sophistication that makes the traditional pink available to those looking for a more contemporary look. It's a pity that it's so difficult to find pink and black accessories - it's such a striking color scheme. On the other hand, we can all take our cue from Carri by not allowing that to curb our enthusiasm. Not everything in your nursery has to be available as part of a theme set at Wal-Mart! The handmade accessories in Chloe's nursery are precious, and one day when Chloe asks, Carri will be able to tell her that she poured her heart into making a special place for her special little girl! (Little girls like to hear that you know!) Did you notice the polka dot handles on the dresser, by the way? Super chic!
