Floral Nursery Idea

Floral Nursery Idea
The thing that took me the longest in putting my floral nursery idea together was deciding on the furniture. I knew I wanted white because I am having a girl, but everything I found looked really cheap or was super expensive.
I decided to go with a white Graco crib from Target. It wasn't expensive but it has a cute trim detail. Then I bought a Graco dresser and changing table to match the crib. I added glass knobs to the dresser and baskets to the changing table for storage. It didn't take me long to do the rest once I decided to purchase fabric to make the bedding instead of buying it. I found 3 very feminine fabrics online and I used the colors in the fabrics as a starting point when picking other details. I wanted it to look delicate and feminine. My mother made a crib bumper out of pink, sage green, and yellow floral fabric. The crib skirt is made out of pink and sage green fabric and I used a plain pink sheet on the crib. The window valences are made out of the floral fabric. Once I purchased the fabric, I chose soft pink wallpaper with a subtle white pattern to complement it. My father wallpapered the room for me. I found lamps and a chandelier quickly. The last thing I ordered was the sage green and white stripe glider and ottoman from Target. It goes in the room perfectly. I have a set of 4 Beatrix Potter pictures in frames on the wall. I have decided to also add some Beatrix Potter figurines in the room. Next to the glider and ottoman, I have a table with a glass lamp from Target. There is an additional glass lamp on the dresser. For ceiling lighting I used a 3-arm white chandelier that was purchased online. The chandelier and both of the lamps have shades that were made out of the floral fabric.
