Finding Nemo Nursery

The finding Nemo nursery was my idea. I couldn't bear to go with the traditional pink for my girls I wanted something gender neutral and I wanted my girls to love the ocean as much as I do. I originally thought I would do a life like underwater coral reef design then realized that was no fun for them, Nemo was the children's version and we went with it.

I am not an artist by any means but I am a good problem solver. I printed out coloring book sheets on transparency paper and used an old school overhead projector then traced the images on the wall. I painted with acrylic paints.

The crib and furniture is Baby Cache which is made by Munire. Baby Cache is the BRU brand.

I didn't buy a bedding set. I mixed and matched different items to get the effect I wanted.

Shades are navy blue roman shades from bed bath and beyond. They do a great job at keeping the morning sun out! I purchased the night light at homedepot - it was completely dumb luck that we found it there.

It took forever to finish because I was on bed rest and my husband....well....he needs a lot of prompting and hates to paint.

Putting my little ones to bed at night is my favorite part of the room. Their mobiles project ocean objects on the ceiling and between that and their night light (we only light the base up at night) they have enough light to enjoy their room while they go off to sleep.

I love this room and I'm trying to do one similar for my baby boy. Where did you find the picture of the baby turtles? That's my favorite part and I can't find it anywhere.
