Fairy Baby Nursery

My wife is a huge Ozzy Osbourn fan hence our daughters name OZZIBELLA and Ozzy say's that fairies wear boots so why not have a forest full of them:

"Goin' home, late last night
suddenly I got a fright
Yeah I looked throughout the window and surprised what I saw
Fairy boots were dancing' with a dwarf, all right now!

Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes, well all right now!"

There are wall to wall fairies drawn by all of us but the details were added by my brother in law throughout the process of painting them. I drew and painted all of the flowers throughout the room. My sister who is a makeup artist found out that she should be a painter after doing this room. She did a majority of the fairies as well as the fairies pets. My mom helped with the fairies as well and some of the flowers, and my wife who says that she doesn't have an artistic bone in her body even got into it and painted some of the mushrooms. We used Glidden paint.

This was our nieces crib - she wanted our daughter Ozzi to have it. The Glider chair is from walmart, and the changing table is from babies r us.

The crib bedding set was made by my mom and sister.

The window is covered by blinds from blinds r us, the name was made out of a piece of wood and decorated with a burn tool by a family friend.

We added a reach in California closet for organizational as well as functional purposes. We did use some baskets for some of the smaller items such as socks.

This was supposed to be a cute but simple project, however how could the story of O (Ozzibella) be anything less than magical, and magical isn't simple. It took us 1 month to finish it the way we wanted it.

What I love most about the finished fairy nursery is that each wall has it's own story.
