An adorable elephant themed bedding set inspired our nursery. Since we were expecting twins, a boy and a girl, we needed a neutral theme. My husband found a precious Carter's brand bedding set online that was available in pink elephants and green elephants. The unifying color was chocolate brown. We painted the walls a beautiful brown (Sherwin Williams, nuthatch) and bought all white furniture. In addition, we accented with a large, round white rug as well as white curtains.

We added vinyl wall art above each baby's bed. Our son's poem says, "Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails, That's What Little Boys are Made of." Our daughter's poem reads, "Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice, That's What Little Girls are Made of." In addition, we commissioned an artist to create personalized paintings for each baby. The paintings match their bedding.

We bought Jenny Lind Cribs, a Da Vinci Changing Table/Hutch, a Bassett Baby Lingerie Chest from CSNbaby.com, a Jenny Lind Bookshelf from thelandofnod.com and a rocking chair from an Antique Store in Mobile, AL

1. Curtains were purchased at Bed, Bath, and Beyond
2. Rug was purchased at Target
3. Wall Decor-
a. Personalized Canvas Paintings are originals made by a local artist named Leigh Anne Gomes
b. Vinyl Wall Art above beds was purchased online at Word Decor n More
c. Carter brand Elephant prints were purchased at JCPenny.com
4. Antiqued Metal Elephant Hooks were purchased at Hobby Lobby
5. Organizational baskets were purchased at Land of Nod

The twins' goodies are stored in white wicker baskets that are labeled with hand-made labels. (Ex. "Luke's Bibs", "Lola's Bibs", "Diapers", "Lotion and Powder", etc...)

It took my husband and I about 3 months to complete the project. It was easy for me, but difficult for him! Since I was VERY pregnant; I couldn't paint, lift, or physically assist him. He had to paint, put furniture together, and hang the vinyl letters. However, I was able to contribute by creating the labels for the Land of Nod baskets as well as shopping for the finishing touches! So obviously, it was a lot of fun for me...not so much for him!

What I love most about the nursery is the labeled baskets and the way the white furniture and accessories "POP" against the chocolate walls.
