It is crucially important that you are aware of all recalls of small cribs as and when they occur. Small cribs include portable cribs, play pens and yards, bassinets and cradles.

Unsafe play pens and play yards in particular have proven to be deadly in the past.

Unlike standard cribs, play pens often tend to be handed down or purchased secondhand. This means that many of the play pens that have been causing infant deaths for years are still in circulation, and babies are still dying!

Knowing whether or not the small baby crib you own has been recalled could save your baby's life!

Unfortunately, unsafe play pens and bassinets can cause more than a bump or a scratch. Babies' heads become trapped when the unsafe item collapses and they can't breathe. If they aren't found in time they can die from asphyxiation or strangulation.

If you own a small baby crib or play pen please make sure it hasn't been recalled before it's too late!!

The report includes every portable crib, play pen, play yard, bassinet and cradle recalled since 2001 to make sure that second hand and hand-me-down items are included.

It is updated weekly to make sure that you are always aware of the latest baby items recalled.
