Cincinnati Sports Themed Nursery

My husband and I are having a little boy. We live in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area and are sports fanatics so our nursery idea was inspired by this.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

We didn't paint our walls, but instead used individual decals to create baseball stitches on the wall.

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

We bought our glider at a yard sale and reupholstered it with Bengals fabric to make it look brand new. We bought our crib, dresser and hutch at JC Penney's.

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

I had our Cincinnati Bengals bedding custom-made from Etsy, along with our Cincinnati Reds changing table.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

I found baseball decals for the wall that I had to individually place. My dad owned his own convenient store and had our "Welcome to the Jungle" sign custom made, which is one of a kind. We had our three individual sports teams wall signs made by a small store owner in the Cincinnati area.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

We haven't had a baby shower yet, but built shelves in our closet to store his belongings. We also ordered a hutch from JC Penney that we will use as storage.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

After ordering everything the day after we found out we were having a boy, it took us about three months to get everything complete.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

My husband and I chose the theme together, while incorporating each other's unique ideas into it.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

What we love most about our nursery is that we did all the work ourselves- our ideas together make it special for our little boy's arrival.
