Butterfly Garden Nursery

I wasn't sure what I was going to do with her room until I saw the bedding at Babies 'r' Us, I liked how it was very simple and a solid color. It allowed me to do a lot more on the walls without feeling like the room was too busy.

We chose a light blue to go with the theme of a garden. I think it makes the pink and the browns in the room really pop.

The flowers and letters on the wall are actually wall decals, which made decorating very easy because we were able to move them around until we found the perfect place for them.

The furniture was given to me by different family members. Each piece in the room came from someone different except the crib which we got for a steal at once upon a child.

My mother made the window treatments and the decor is mostly from home goods. The green fairy doll was mine when I was a little girl and the doll on a swing was from my mother-n-law.

Luckily I had my mom to help me plan and decorate the room. My favorite part was getting up all the wall art and putting together the garden surrounding the changing table, which was very simple and fun to do. We hung two pieces of trellis and stuck wall decal flowers above them.
