Butterfly Baby Nursery

Finding out we were having a little baby girl inspired us to design a perfect girly room, full of pinks and greens, flowers and butterflies.

When we were browsing we came across a bedding set that was sure to fit. We decided to change the canary yellow room in to something that would blend well with the bedding set. We used colors we found in magazines and had it matched with ColorPlace paint. We went with an almost bubblegum pink and an off lime green.

To separate the colors we bought a trim and stained it a little darker than the furniture we had planned. The furniture was purchased at Babies R Us and the brand is Delta. We went with the crib, changing table and dresser all in cherry color.

The bedding set we bought for Paityn was bought at Buy Buy Baby and is the NOJO Emily style. The bedding set came with a window valance.

We used butterfly and flower decals (bought at Babies R Us) to decorate the walls. We also bought letters from Hobby Lobby and painted them pastel purple with polka dots the same color as the walls.

We bought a glider that was purchased at Walmart. Same comfort and a quarter the price!

All of Paityn's goodies are stored under the changing table and in her closet. We are still looking for wicker baskets to decorate.

This was such a fun project to do. We did this when my wife was 20 weeks. It took us a weekend to do the room and about two weeks to get all the furniture and bedding in place.

My favorite part is walking in the room every morning before work thinking about my little girl that will be here June 13th. I hope you like the work my wife and I did. We did it early so she was in a good comfort level to help. I did the painting.
