I wanted a classy, warm nursery that was not pink for our little girl. I had seen stripes in other baby rooms and decided that I wanted a brown stripes nursery.

My in-laws designed the walls and we had friends of ours who are contractors do all the woodwork. That involved putting up the beadboard, chair rail and new baseboard.

Then my in-laws did all the painting. The lighter tan has gold flecks mixed in which makes it sparkle in the light.

Our bedding, lamp and nightlight are from the new Restoration Hardware Baby and Child and complement the wall and furniture colors perfectly.
