Beautiful Bird Nursery

I wanted a blue and orange room for my daughter. I found Serena and Lily bedding that was my inspiration. I painted the room periwinkle blue with Benjamin Moore Sky paint and started adding some orange by adding shades and some green from the bedding too.

Then I added the rug from thelandofnod.com (which matched perfectly) and accessories to make it look finished. I had a mural painted to look like a tree with branches and added birds.

Finally I added lighting from Pottery Barn.

It was easy because I love birds and love the colors. They are my favorite color combination. I since started a business and made these colors my logo.

I did the entire nursery myself. I hired someone to paint my mural and I hired someone to make my shelves for the wall.

TIP: If painting or making your own tree seems a bit daunting, try an easy stick, removable tree wall decal. There are lots of beautiful ones available and they really brighten up the room!
