My fiancé and I love the outdoors. Whether it's hiking, biking, or fishing. Most of all we love getting away to her aunts cottage way up north in Kirkland lake, where the real bears, raccoons, and owls are. We also would like Ryder to grow up surrounded by Mother Nature and have a strong understanding and respect for our environment so we created a nature inspired nursery.

What brand and color of paint did you use?

Acrylic paint from my paint set. And a little extra from walmart.

If you added stripes, polka dots or other paint effects, tell us how you did it.

I used electrical tape to shape the branches and the leaves because it is plyable and elastic.

What brand of crib did you buy? Where from?

Storkcraft baby. It was a gift from my parents.

What brand of nursery furniture did you choose? Where did you buy it?

We already has an accent chair and the cherrywood dresser.

What nursery bedding set did you use? Where did you buy it?

We looked high and low for some nature bedding and couldn't find any in a boys color. Then all of a sudden there it was. We got it from babies r us.

Tell us about your window treatments, nursery lighting, rugs, wall decor and accessories. Where did you buy them - were any handmade?

We just have a couple lamps as there is no light wiring. I bought the moon light from ikea.

How did you store all your baby goodies? In baskets, on shelves?

We are using wicker baskets.

How long did it take you? Was it easy, fun, difficult? What was your favorite part?

I really enjoyed doing all the paintings. It's been a very long time since I used a paint brush. I spent approx 40 hours with all the animals and leaves and tree.

Did you do the entire nursery on your own or did someone help you? Who? What did they do?

Yes I did it all myself.

What do you love most about your little one's finished baby room?

As he is too young for to me be taking up north with us because its in the middle of nowhere, (Need a boat to get to the cottage), I like that's he has a little piece I nature right in his own bedroom.
